THE MUNSTERS [2022]

From writer/director Rob Zombie comes the strangest love story ever told.
Lily is just your typical 150-year-old, lovelorn vampire looking for the man of her nightmares…that is until she lays eyes on Herman, a seven-foot-tall, green experiment with a heart of gold. It’s love at first shock as these two ghouls fall fangs over feet in this crazy Transylvanian romance.
Unfortunately, it’s not all smooth sailing in the cemetery as Lily’s father The Count has other plans for his beloved daughter’s future, and they don’t involve her bumbling beau Herman.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll howl at the moon as The Munsters make their way to Mockingbird Lane!
The film is available on Netflix and Blu-Ray/DVD/On-Demand now (9/27)

Did you Know?
Rob Zombie recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the making of the movie, when they exclusively premiered the teaser trailer for the movie (see above). See some excerpts below:
On the family-friendly rating: “Yeah, it’s 100 percent in the spirit of the show…I didn’t want it to be different. I wanted to totally retain the vibe that it had in the ’60s.”
On the familiar cast list: “I wanted to cast people that had worked together a lot,” says Zombie, who shot the film in Hungary. “I couldn’t risk getting on set in Budapest and going, my leads aren’t getting along, they have no chemistry. So that’s why I chose the cast I chose….they work together a lot and I knew they would just fall right into it.”
On filming in color: “I noticed when the actors were in their makeup and they were just walking around, getting lunch or whatever, they looked like cartoon characters come to life. They were just so insanely colorful. I was like, I have to light the movie in the same fashion. It really seemed at all times like a live action cartoon, which was really exciting.”
