Rob Zombie’s second solo album ‘The Sinister Urge‘ was released 21 years ago on November 13 2001. The title of the album was inspired by the 1961 Ed Wood movie of the same name.
Although only one single was released – Demon Speeding – tracks from the album would appear on the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack and as promotional releases. Two official videos were created, including Feel So Numb and Never Gonna Stop (The Red Red Kroovy), which saw the band recreate A Clockwork Orange.
Zombie was able to call on several friends to appear on the album, including Tommy Lee on drums and Slayer’s Kerry King on guitar. The biggest scope was securing vocals from Ozzy Osbourne for the track Iron Head.
Watch the video for “Feel So Numb” below and let Rob know what your favorite track from the album was. Find out more about the album here: robzombie.com/music/the-sinister-urge/
