Rob Zombie’s debut solo album HELLBILLY DELUXE – 13 TALES OF CADAVEROUS CAVORTING INSIDE THE SPOOKSHOW INTERNATIONAL was released on this day 24 years ago (August 25, 1998).
Debuting at no.5 on the Billboard album charts, it reached Platinum status just three months later and has sold over three million units in the US.
HBD produced three singles that still feature predominately in Zombie’s live sets: Dragula, Living Dead Girl and Superbeast. In 2005, the album was re-released as a deluxe edition CD + DVD combo. It was also the basis for the successful remix album American Made Music to Strip By.
