On April 11, 2003 Rob Zombie released his directorial film debut House of 1000 Corpses. The carefully crafted homage to B-Movie horrors and the Marx Brothers introduced fans to the anti-hero Firefly family and would go on to spawn two sequels (The Devil’s Rejects and 3 From Hell).

Filmed originally in 2000, it took a further 3 years before it found a studio willing to unleash Zombie’s vision onto the big screen.

Rob shares his thoughts on this anniversary:

HAPPY 1000 CORPSES DAY! Believe it or not today it’s been 19 years since HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES was finally released in theaters. It was a long crazy journey, but we made it happen and I thank you all for keeping it alive and well. Who knew this crazy movie would become so beloved. 💀 So pop in the movie tonight and celebrate our Corpse’s family … especially those no longer here… Karen , Matthew, Sid, Tom, Dennis, Micheal, Harrison and Irwin. All together… everyone scream… DR. SATAN! 🔥🔥🔥 Out of curiosity what is your favorite scene? 🔥🔥🔥👍🏼
