After 14 years, Rob Zombie’s Halloween has finally been unseated as the Labor Day weekend box office record holder. There’s been many contenders who have attempted to wrestle the title from Zombie and Michael Myers, including Tenet, Angel Has Fallen and boyband One Direction but each and every time Rob Zombie’s Halloween has slayed the competition…. until now!
Marvel Studio’s latest Avenger Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, has smashed records and is now the holder of the much coveted box office title. It’s strong opening also signals a boost to movie theaters and studios who have been anxious following the disrupted distribution of their films because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Rob Zombie shared his thoughts on the news:
