It’s been 8 years – April 19, 2013 – since Rob Zombie released a very different kind of horror movie: The Lords of Salem. Starring Sheri Moon Zombie, Dee Wallace, Meg Foster, Patricia Quinn, Judy Geeson and Jeff Daniel Phillips, the psychological horror centers around the character of DJ Heidi Hawthorne (Sheri Moon Zombie), who hears a mysterious record sent to the station she works in and begins to succumb to a strange spell.

The Lords of Salem was the first Rob Zombie movie to feature a score written by his long-time guitarist John 5. Zombie also wrote a full-length novel (with author B.K. Evenson) based on the original shooting script which adds even more layers to the movie’s backstory. The slow-burn shocker was produced by Oren Peli of the Paranormal Activity series.
