Late last year Anthrax announced they would be releasing a graphic novel Among the Living, inspired by the iconic 1987 album of the same name. The graphic novel includes contributions from a variety of musicians and artists including Corey Taylor, Gerard and Mikey Way, comedian Brian Posehn and all four current members of Anthrax.

Rob Zombie is also one of the contributors and Consequences of Sound have this exclusive first look at the chapter Zombie has penned. His chapter is inspired by the track Imitation of Life, and as CoS describes it, it’s “a bizarro and horrific apocalyptic event“. The artwork is illustrated by Erik Rodriguez and Steve Chanks .

From what we gather, body-snatching aliens attack Earth in the early ’80s, resulting in a gory demise for legendary baseball players like Rollie Fingers and Oscar Gamble. Elsewhere, there’s Ronald Reagan with a Baywatch bikini body, The Fonz with robot legs, Kojak (Telly Savalas) with a Jabba the Hut body, and Princess Leia making out with the severed head of Magnum P.I. (Tom Selleck). We can only imagine the wild ways in which Rob Zombie’s text will match these extraordinary images.
