On July 22, 2005 Rob Zombie released The Devils Rejects. The movie was the second in the Firefly Family saga and the follow-up to Zombie’s directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses which came out in 2003.
Rejects this time saw Zombie’s anti-heroes Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis (Bill Moseley) and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), on the run from Sheriff Wydell (William Forsyth), a man obsessed with bringing the blood shedding family to justice (in one way or the other) for the death of his brother. The trilogy was completed in 2019 with 3 From Hell.
Speaking about the 15th anniversary Rob Zombie shared this on his Instagram:
Happy Rejects day!!! Today marks the 15th Anniversary of the release of THE DEVIL’S REJECTS!! 💀💀💀 I can’t believe it’s been that long. This is a very special movie to me and always will be. Thank you to all the fans worldwide that have keep this film alive after so many years. You are the best.
