It is with sadness that we hear of the death of actor Michael J. Pollard who played Stucky in Rob Zombie’s debut movie, House of 1000 Corpses.
Pollard, who’s career included notable roles in Star Trek, Lost In Space, Roxanne, and Scrooged, was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award in 1967 for Best Supporting Actor following his appearance as C.W. Moss in Bonnie and Clyde opposite Warren Beaty and Faye Dunaway. He was ultimately awarded a BAFTA for “Most Promising Newcomer”.
Speaking of Michael following the news of his passing Rob said this of his friend:
“Another member of our House of 1000 Corpses family has left us. The great Michael J Pollard has died. I have been a huge fan of Micheal since I first saw him on the Star Trek “Miri” . He was amazing in everything from Bonnie and Clyde to Little Fauss and Big Halsy from Dirty Little Billy to The Four of the Apocalypse. 20 years ago he was one of the first actors I cast in 1000 Corpses. He was a hoot and will be missed.”
