Released in 2007, Rob Zombie’s Halloween broke the Labor Day Weekend Box Office with a $30.5* million weekend gross (previously held by M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Sixth Sense” with $29,271,146*). Ever since, many have tried to unseat Big Mike from that record, including Crazy Rich Asians, the critically acclaimed comedy from director Jon M. Chu, which got the closest last year, The Possession, Morgan, Lawless, Don’t Breathe, but all have failed.
This Labor Day Weekend, Gerard Butler’s Angel Has Fallen (sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen) attempted to also take on the man with the mask but proved unable to do so. That means for the TWELFTH YEAR RUNNING, Rob Zombie’s Halloween has slashed away at the competition and continues to reign supreme over the coveted 4 day weekend market.
Commiserations to the Angel Has Fallen team and thank you for helping make Halloween a success. We wonder who is ready to take on the gauntlet next year! Don’t forget to check out the movie and more info on here it here: Rob Zombie’s Halloween movie page.
