On April 11, 2003, Rob Zombie unleashed his directorial film debut on the world. House of 1000 Corpses, was a homage to 70’s horror, with Zombie citing movies such as Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes (1977) being an influence.

The film, saw the birth of the wicked Firefly family, including Baby, Mama, Tiny, Dr Satan, Captain Spaulding and Otis Driftwood, and took 3 years from filming completion to release. But it was worth the wait and has now cemented itself as a cult horror movie classic.

House of 1000 Corpses spawned a hugely successful sequel in 2005: The Devils Rejects. And Zombie has finished production on the latest Firefly Family escapades; Three From Hell, which is due to be released in 2019.
