On November 13, 2001, Rob Zombie released his second solo studio album, The Sinister Urge. The album title was borrowed from the Ed Wood movie of the same name released in 1961.

Many fan favorites appeared on the album, including Dead Girl Superstar, Scum of the Earth and House of 1000 Corpses.

Although only one single was released – Demon Speeding– tracks from the album would appear on soundtracks for Mission: Impossible 2 and as promotional releases. Two official videos were created, including for the track Never Gonna Stop (The Red Red Kroovy), which saw the band recreate A Clockwork Orange (watch the video above).
