Revelations: ‘These days you have to be willing to fight for what you want harder than everyone else’

Rob Zombie Revelations

Rob Zombie pens a very special article for Metal Hammer this month in which he talks about one of his favourite subjects – HORROR. As Metal Hammer put it; “While the horror genre is far from dead, one common complaint is that a lot of today’s movies lack the imagination of the early greats. Musician and director Rob Zombie would like to point out… THEY DON’T MAKE ’EM LIKE THEY USED TO “.

Metal Hammer is currently out in stores now. To purchase you copy click here for more information.

[Listen] Metalhead Ned of WGRD Interviews Rob Zombie

dcr-vid

From Metalhead Ned: “When I was a kid, I had a tendency to listen to the ‘pop’ edge of music. I loved the ‘Now’ series and I still have ‘Now 1.’ One day though, my brother and his friends were listening to these new bands, one of them was Korn and the other, Rob Zombie. Little did I know, a little over 10 years later, I would be chatting with the man himself!…We … go on to chat about his upcoming movie ’31′ and the new album he is currently working on.”

[WATCH] Rob Zombie speaks to Fanpass about touring; “Doing a tour with Alice was one of the best tours”

Rob Zombie Fanpass

An interview conducted with Zombie by Fanpass, while the band rocked the Welcome To Rockville festival, sees Rob speaking about one of his favourite tour partners. Speaking to Matt Pinfield he says; “Cause usually, you’re on tour with people and they might be your friends, but maybe… they’re just your buddies, but musically, you’re not compatible. That was the first time I remember being on tour and it felt like what I thought touring should be.”

Review: Zombie Horror “effectively captures the atmosphere and vibe of a Zombie live show”

Rob Zombie Live DVD

Its out! And the feedback has been fantastic.  Check out this review from Loudwire, who say “with Zombie’s cinematic background, it’s no surprise that the show is heavy on visuals.” And “…while those elements are interesting and highly entertaining, they are just icing on the cake. Zombie and company are the stars of the show, with great performances from guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D. and drummer Ginger Fish. Zombie is a master showman, holding the crowd in the palm of his hand.”

Rob Zombie is working on his next studio album

Robzombie-fagan

Rob Zombie, probably the busiest man in the world, is not just working on a Manson Family piece with Bret Easton Ellis; he is not just about to embark on a European tour; he has not just announced a new and excitingly brutal new film project called ’31’, he is “pretty far into the process”, working on the follow-up to 2013’s Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor. (And of course, lets not forget the new live DVD/Blu-Ray and coffee table photo book – phew!)

Speaking to Billboard.com, Rob says “It sounds fuckin’ weird, man. That’s a really good thing. Right now I’m by myself in the studio; the rest of the band’s not here yet but, yeah, they’ll all come up here later. It’s going good. I’ll work on that for about a month and get as far as I can get. Then in July we have a little bit of a break where I’ll probably finish up the record, and then we have some more touring.

Peter Criss Rob Zombie

Original KISS drummer, Peter Criss – ‘Catman‘ – joined Rob Zombie last night, at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey, for a VERY special version of the classic KISS track “God of Thunder“.

Introducing the ‘Catman’ on stage, Zombie said “Ladies and gentlemen, if you are anything like me, you were very disappointed a little while ago, because I tuned into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and I did not get to see my favorite drummer get behind the motherfucking drums. New look unveiled at robzombie.com

Site Screenshot

As many of you have no doubt noticed, the site has had a bit of a make-over.  Over the weekend, the site has been updated with a brand new skin, which includes an incredible image by photographer Rob Fenn (who shot the Zombie Horror Picture Show photo book) and includes original artwork by Rob Zombie’s web manager Emma (1976designs)

As well as a new skin, we have taken the time to tidy up the individual movie and music pages, as well as streamline a few underused sections.

There are still a few bits to drop into the site over the next few days, but we are hoping this is a look everyone will like and enjoy.
