Zombie explains why the ‘Werewolf Women’ movie version didn’t pan out

Sci Fi Now Werewolf Women

It’s another of the ‘most asked’ questions by Rob Zombie fans; ‘Will the Werewolf Women of the SS trailer be made into a full fledged movie?’

As part of a fuller interview with SciFi Now, Rob Zombie explains why this spin-off from the Grindhouse movies, won’t be happening.

As one of the spoof trailers in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’ Grindhouse, many of us – the director included – were expecting Rob Zombie‘s love letter to the trashy likes of Ilsa, She Wolf Of The SSentitled Werewolf Women Of The SS to follow in the footsteps of two other fake trailers, Machete and Hobo With A Shotgun.

“That was originally the plan and we certainly spoke about the spin-off movies at the time,” says Zombie, speaking exclusively to SciFiNow for a future issue of the magazine.

“Of course, they ended up doing Machete,” continues Zombie, “but the others fell to the side. I would still love to make it but it is probably never going to happen because I do not own the rights. The wholeGrindhouse thing is owned by Dimension.

“It is a shame because it would have been a great movie – but when Grindhouse did not pan out to be the success that Dimension were hoping for that was pretty much the end of it.”
