Jesus Frankenstein kicked things off in gloriously fun fashion, massive screens around the stage firing off retro-horror imagery, a multi-limbed skeletal structure looming ominously over the crowd in front of a gigantic iron man structure, before Rob Zombie was suddenly roaming the stage, appearing like a long-dead hobo sent back from the underworld by Lucifer himself to whip the audience back into shape. So that’s all folks as a certain Porky Pig would say at the end of a certain series of famous cartoons. The Twins of Evil tour has come to a close. The tour gear is being packed, robots are going back to storage, tired and weary souls return to the comforts of their beds. 10 countries were visited with 33 shows played. Every city welcomed the show with raucous cheer and invigorating energy. Even when Rob apologized to the Birmingham UK crowd for his croaky voice, the crowd still bayed for Zombie and left the show with smiles from ear to ear. (more…)

In the case of Rob Zombie, I just don’t know what to expect from the man. His previous appearance in Denmark took place in 1995 – and that was with White Zombie, so my frame of reference is extremely limited. (more…)

As soon as the final curtain drops, up pops another, this time with a large print of King Kong grasping Faye Ray and its instantly apparent that the next act is a film buff and as the lights go down, the chants of Zombie! Manchester is known in the UK as the home of stalwarts such as Oasis and the infamous The Haçienda but on Wednesday it became the home – for one night – of evil – Twins of Evil style.
QRO Magazine reviewed the show and you can read the extract here and see images from the show by photographer Ian Pickles.
If Manson’s set verged on the over serious the same cannot be said of his partner in wickedness on the night, the gloriously over-the-top Rob Zombie. Having revitalized the Halloween franchise, Zombie now divides his time between music and filmmaking, but whichever he’s doing he seems to give it one hundred percent, and his set featured every horror trope in the playbook. Zombie and Manson Twins of Evil Tour by Jeff Resta
You knew with Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson co-headlining the Twins of Evil Tour on Halloween night was going to be so wickedly awesome, but this show was mind-blowing. Often times when two top billing bands “co-headline” there is usually a noticeable difference in staging, lighting and even sound giving you the feeling that there is still a headliner! Not here. (more…)

And throw in a co-headliner earlier in the year with Megadeth. Soundspike interviewed Rob recently to talk about all the projects and more.

Rob Zombie is a busy man. Rob Zombie brings ‘Twins of Evil tour’ to Houston by Andrew Dansby
Rob Zombie’s recent and upcoming sinister urges include a remix album, a new solo record, a film that looks positively terrifying and an eerie commercial for a laundry detergent. Zombie’s work as a successful filmmaker and fright-metal recording artist didn’t quite eat up all his time, so he’s going back to doing one of the things he does best: putting on a really big show. (more…)

The Hartford Courant reviews the Mohegan Sun show for the ‘Twins Of Evil’ Tour.

At what point does it become okay for an artist to wear a shirt with their own name emblazoned on it? Do they need to be an international metal star? A renowned director? Or is it more the mentality of not caring, like one big middle finger saying “Yeah, my shirt says ‘Rob Motherf****n Zombie,’ and I don’t care” (it literally did).
It seems likely to be the last, but let’s face it. Rob Zombie, like his ‘Twin Of Evil’ Marilyn Manson, have carefully crafted stage personas. Horror metal theatrics were at their finest at Mohegan Sun for their co-headlining tour. Rotating for the top bill, Saturday night had Manson opening and Zombie on the top slot. (more…)
