FuseTV has released another video, catching up with Rob Zombie when he was on his recent tour with Megadeth. Last time they questioned him about the gnarliest things he has seen on the road, this time Rob talks more in-depth about the tour with Megadeth and how his job is to “blow your fucking mind”.
Video after the drop
Fuse TV recently caught up Rob Zombie to chat about his tour stories and what they got back was some eye opening and pretty intense tales.
From Fuse TV:
Rob Zombie, prolific metal musician and filmmaker, has seen a lot of crazy stuff during his 25 years on tour, so we sat down with him to hear about the absolute craziest moments. Like this one: “One time, I think it was in Florida, this guy showed up with a gun and killed his girlfriend outside the show and then killed himself. That was a good one.” Oof.

From Mike M: Awesome fucking show, as always. Thanks for always playing our market. We don’t get a ton of top notch rock acts coming our way, so it’s always appreciated. You’ve got a ton of fans here, and everyone on the floor with me had a great time. Megadeth was awesome as well. Always wanted to see good ol’ Mustaine kick out the jams. Nice pairing to kick off my summer.

With Rob Zombie set to wrap up touring with Megadeth this weekend at Rocklahoma, before going into the studio with the band to make his next album, he just had time to catch up with Tulsa World where he explained the show he plans to put on for the fans.
Rob Zombie promises Rocklahoma fans ‘monstrously huge’ show by Gene Triplett from NewsOK.com
This year’s Rocklahoma festival should be one of the biggest yet, with Rob Zombie, Megadeth and Theory of a Deadman on Saturday and Chickenfoot, Queensryche and Jackyl dominating Sunday.
Organizers expect attendance to top 20,000 a day, more than the 35,000 total attendance the 2011 show drew, according to Joe Litvag, AIG Live senior vice president of the Midwest Region.
“One of the things I really admire about Rocklahoma is that we here in America finally have a premiere rock festival again,” said David Ellefson, bassist, backing vocalist and co-founder of Los Angeles thrash-metal veterans Megadeth.
“When I was growing up in Minnesota in a rural area, and I remember there were all these festivals – Iowa Jam, Texxas Jam, California Jam. America had real rock ‘n’ roll festivals, you know, multiple days, big events, and all the biggest bands would go play ‘em. And then by the time we got into the ’80s, and certainly by the ’90s, those were gone.” (more…)

Last Thursday Rob Zombie played the Tyson Events Center as part of the Rob Zombie/Megadeth co-headliner. Before the show the Sioux City Journal chatted with Rob in a phone interview about the tour, his movie The Lords of Salem, and politicians.
Theatrical Rob Zombie ready to bring some controversy to Sioux City by Laura Johnson
Call Rob Zombie anything – spawn of Satan, master of horror, in need of a shower – just don’t call him lazy.
This year alone he’s touring with longtime friends Megadeth along with playing multiple music festivals, wrapping up his latest film “The Lords of Salem” and planning to record a new album. Rolling through Sioux City Thursday for a quick tour stop, Zombie took time to talk about how he balances it all.
“I just go from one thing to the next to the next,” Zombie said in a recent phone interview. “I was just in post-production of my movie. Now I have to put it on ice for a bit to go on tour.”
He said the biggest problem is just not having enough time in the day to get it all done. Take touring with heavy-metal rockers Megadeth. The last they time they hooked up in concert it was the 1990s.
“I’m surprised it took so long for us to play together again,” Zombie said. “I don’t know why anything takes so long – just one of those things.” (more…)
Michigan Live interviews Rob Zombie about touring, his new movie ‘Lords of Salem’ and directing commercials
MLive.com caught up with Rob Zombie before he played in front of a packed audience in Grand Rapids.
The wide ranging interview sees Rob talking about his forthcoming movie The Lords of Salem, his tour with Megadeth and a lot more.
Rob Zombie Q&A: Horror-rocker talks touring, his new movie ‘Lords of Salem’ and directing commercials by John Serba
Rob Zombie is one of heavy metal’s true Renaissance men.
He’s widely recognized as the dreadlocked, platform-booted former lead singer of White Zombie, and now the frontman of his solo band, currently in its 14th year. He’s also a visual artist, in two different mediums: Most notably, a film director, having helmed “House of 1000 Corpses” and two “Halloween” remakes in his horror oeuvre, along with several mainstream TV commercials. He also designs all the album artwork for his music projects (and famously designed the set of MTV’s “Headbanger’s Ball” in the early 1990s).
Right now, as Zombie’s band – featuring bassist Piggy D., guitarist John 5 and drummer Ginger Fish – stomps through two weeks’ worth of tour dates co-headlining with Megadeth, he has major film and music projects on the front burner. His next horror film,“The Lords of Salem,” which he wrote and directed, is in post-production, and will tentatively be released later this year. And he has studio time booked starting June 1 for his next album, the follow-up to 2010’s “Hellbilly Deluxe 2.” (more…)

From Amanda: Holy shit! This was the best concert I have ever been to. It wasn’t just a concert it was a fucking stage show. You could feel the passion that Rob Zombie has for what he does. I was blown away. I would see him over and over again. The energy that Rob Zombie had on stage could be felt throughout the crowd. He even jumped off the stage and came into the crowd!!! Thats a real rock star if you ask me.
From John Krusinsky: The show was fucking awesome from beginning to the end. Well worth being squashed in the front row for four hours. Could not ask for a better time, Looking forward to the next go round!
From Kristal Boda: I LOVED IT!!!!! The concert kicked major ass! Definitely want to see it again!! m/
From Dakota Lee: the concert at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids MI was fucking awesome every song each band played was killer and the playing of each band was outstanding sounding basically exactly like the albums and the pyrotechnics on the zombie show were phenominal, overall i think zombie had the best show however Megadeth played better imo Daves voice sounded great including the high notes which surprised me due to the fact that in some live shows his voice wasnt great but all in all every band played well, if you get a chance to attend i highly suggest you take it you will not be disappointed, youre in for a hell of a show, well worth the price of the tickets (more…)
Rob Zombie is now half way through the Zombie/Megadeth co-headliner. On Saturday he will be in Maryland’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for another explosive show. STLToday.com caught up with Rob to chat about the show, going back into the studio in June and more.
Rob Zombie promises plenty for fans at Pointfest by BY KEVIN C. JOHNSON
Seeing Rob Zombie and Megadeth co-headlining a major tour this summer, including this weekend’s date at Pointfest, might seem like a reunion of the hard-driving rock legends.
The tour is billed as their first time touring together since the early ’90s, but Zombie suggests that hype may be overstated.
“Sadly, we really didn’t tour together that much. We only did three shows, one weekend back in ’91, or maybe it was ’92,” he says. He was fronting White Zombie at the time. (more…)

From Jess: The Pittsburgh show was a-fucking-mazing! I’m one of those short Pittsburgh girls in the back, shaking my ass, and screaming at the top of my lungs! Great show.
Even with the tiny flare up in the middle, Mr. Zombie remained calm and finished the song. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m really happy you continued to play!
Thank you for coming to Pittsburgh! I love seeing you guys perform!
From Rick and Laura Brown: HOLY PARTY!! Just got back from the A&E in Pitts. PA. from the Zombie/megadeth show. (more…)
Check out the fantastic shots from photographer David Turcotte of The Full Frame, who chronicled the show on May 11 at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
You can see the full portfolio of this shoot at http://thefullframe.org/2012/05/15/rob-zombie/
As David notes about the shoot and the show:
Unlike the simple and straight forward stage of openers Megadeth, Rob Zombie pulled all the stops with elaborate pyrotechnics, giant risers and backdrops. Between the skeleton mic stands, projected visuals and motorized monsters on stage, there wasn’t a dull moment in trying to capture the action provided by Rob Zombie and Co. Even the detail of Rob Zombie’s costume was something of a spectacle if you look closely enough.
Lighting was as expected…wild! There was flames, hard washes of green and red, and lots of fog.
