“In the Age of the Consegrated Vampire, We All Get High” named in Loudwire’s 20 Best Rock songs of 2016

Get High Rob Zombie

In the Age of the Consegrated Vampire, We All Get High“, from Rob Zombie’s 2016 album The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, has been named as the 7th best rock song of 2016 by Loudwire.

From Loudwire:

Rob Zombie has a knack for that over-the-top, full throttle gore-infused rock and he scores again this year with “In the Age of the Consegrated Vampire, We All Get High.” Driving guitars, random inserted dialogue and pure Zombie aggression drive the song. The singer has made a career off of this style of music, and as he says in the song, “I’m wicked / So hideous / I’m morbid / Don’t fuck with this.” It definitely works well, so who are we to question.

Loudwire have put together their definitive list of the “20 Best Rock Albums of 2016” and Rob Zombie’s latest offering, The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser has come 2nd.

From Loudwire:

Rob Zombie has found the zone with his current band and they are embracing it for all that it’s worth with ‘The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser.’ Zombie goes deep with stellar cuts on this one, first finding his groove with the outrageous yet rocking “Well, Everybody’s F–king in a U.F.O.” This album is fun to listen to and to sing along to, with cuts like “In the Age of the Consecrated Vampire, We All Get High” and “Get Your Boots On! That’s the End of Rock and Roll” being perfect additions to his live show as well as his overall catalog. “The Hideous Exhibitions of a Dedicated Gore Whore,” “The Life and Times of a Teenage Rock God” and “Medication for the Melancholy” are also solid listens in what could be argued as Zombie’s most complete solo effort to date.”

Rob Zombie speaks to Yahoo Music about his new album The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. He tells them why he waited a year to release the album, even though it was all finished, being a product of the 70’s, whether being a film director gives him a different perspective when looking at his music, and what he really thinks when people compare his music to “B-horror groove metal or even schlock-metal“.

[Watch] RZ speaks to Loudwire: “the ‘70s was a really bizarre time”

Loud wire Interview Rob Zombie

Earlier in May, Loudwire posted the first part of a video interview with Rob Zombie. In this follow up video, he explains how he came up with the lyrics for The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, and the often overlooked influence of Americana on his music.

Rob also reveals that although he had to fight with the censors for a rating for his latest movie ’31’ (due out in September), it was The Devil’s Rejects with which securing an R rating was the most difficult. “You’re editing content for adults. One adult is telling another adult, ‘I think that’s a little too much for you. We’re gonna have to tone it down.’

Rob Zombie: “Touring is the best part about being in a band. That’s kind of what the whole point is.”

Rob Zombie talks to Alternative Nation about why it took a year to write the new album The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, how he and the band keep things fresh, John 5’s backwards guitar solo, touring, making films and albums and much more; “I really believe in this record and I want to keep it alive with a lot of content to keep the fans excited.”

The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser came out on April 29th and has already started making some waves. It received a debut of Number 6 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts, which make six straight top ten debuts for Zombie’s albums. Speaking of the news, Zombie thanked the fans: “And once again a top 10 album. I must thank you all for making every Zombie record enter the charts in the top ten. Once again ZOMBIE FANS RULE!”
