Fourteen years ago Rob Zombie unleashed his debut film on the world – House of 1000 Corpses – and introduced horror fans to the diabolical Firefly family. The film was a carefully created homage to B-Movie horrors and the Marx Brothers. Fans took to their hearts Sheri Moon Zombie’s Baby Firefly, Captain Spaulding, played by Sid Haig and Otis Driftwood as portrayed by Bill Moseley. The film went on to spawn an equally loved sequel – The Devil’s Rejects.
Back on the 10th anniversary we shared this fantastic look back on the movie from Brutal As Hell: robzombie.com/2013/04/happy-birthday-10-years-of-house-of-1000-corpses/ – it’s still a good read today.

On July 22, 2005, Rob Zombie unleashed the Firefly Family again on the cinema audience, with The Devils Rejects. The sequel to his debut movie House of 1000 Corpses saw Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis (Bill Moseley) and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), on the run from Sheriff Wydell (William Forsyth), a man obsessed with bringing the blood shedding family to justice (in one way or the other) for the death of his brother.
So today, July 22, 2015, is officially The Devils Rejects day, to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the film (already??!!).
To celebrate, watch the infamous “Free Bird” end scene PLUS the “Midnight Rider” clip from the film. And why don’t you share your memories of the movie. To do so, just click >>> (more…)

So why not drop a man a happy birthday wish!, or What’s the matter, kid? Don’t ya like clowns?
Time to get the candles a blowing folks! Thats’ right Rob Zombie’s DEBUT movie – House of 1000 Corpses – has reached it’s tenth birthday (April 11 2003). This carefully crafted homage to B-Movie horrors and the Marx Brothers introduced fans to the Firefly’s – the bloodiest family this side of the tracks. And lets not forget the delightful Baby Firefly, living and breathing via the delightful Sheri Moon Zombie and Captain Spaulding – brought to life by the brilliant Sid Haig. To celebrate this decade birthday here is a look back by Brutal As Hell on 10 years of House of 1000 Corpses. To read the article and let us know of YOUR memories of the film (more…)

With the announcement just days ago that The Lords of Salem will be released on April 26 2013, what better time for Rob Zombie to release another ‘behind the scenes’ photo from the films production. As RZ says “Here’s a shot of some witchy business from THE LORDS OF SALEM. (left to right) Michael Berryman, RZ, Meg Foster and Sid Haig out in the freezing cold. Poor Meg was locked in the cage.”
Don’t forget to PRE-ORDER the accompanying book written by RZ from Amazon (check out your local Amazon store for availability)
That lovable rogue, our friend Sid Haig, celebrates his birthday today, July 14. So how about we all get together and give him a cheer – although that chorus of cheers is probably Baby with a screaming and slightly captured crowd of hostages ready for a special birthday slaughter.
Happy Birthday Sid – have a ball!
Here is the first look at SID HAIG from THE LORDS OF SALEM! Check it out!
As you may recall, Sid joined the cast back in November 2011 and plays Dean Magnus the other half of the witchfinding duo known as The Brothers.
