Rob Zombie to take on the Broad Street Bullies

Rob Zombie has optioned the theatrical rights to the story of the “Broad Street Bullies”, the legendary mid-1970′s version of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. The Bullies were known for their aggressive playing style that included fighting and intimidation as tactics in their rise from fledging newcomers to a powerhouse franchise.

The Bullies were recently the subject of a critically acclaimed 2010 HBO 24/7 Sports documentary. (more…)
