Joey Jordison’s new band, ‘Scar The Martyr‘ will be joining Rob Zombie and Korn on the ‘Night of the Living Dreads‘ tour this coming November, to be their opening act. Jordison (Slipknot/Murderdolls) toured with Zombie as stand-in drummer a couple of years ago. Rob Zombie announced he was “excited” to have Jordison join the tour, when he announced on his Facebook yesterday.

Yes it’s true. Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 let the cat out of the bag following an interview with AbsolutePunk.net. In the interview he explained that Rob Zombie was putting together his first ever live DVD; ”This is big news. I haven’t talked about this. 30 years, Rob Zombie, White Zombie – never done a live DVD. We’re doing one this year. The show’s so big. It can’t get much bigger, so I’m like, “We better record this!”

Just over a month ago (April 19) The Lords of Salem, the latest movie from director/musician Rob Zombie, was released. And a few days before that, the soundtrack was released. It features a score by Rob’s right hand axe man John 5, and producer Griffin Boice, as well as the stellar selection of hand-picked tracks from artists such as The Velvet Underground, Rush and Rick James. Hard Rock Haven have submitted this 10 outta 10 review for the soundtrack. We thought we would share.

At last week’s Revolver Magazine Golden Gods awards in LA, Rob Zombie and his bandmates – Piggy D, John 5 and Ginger Fish – were interviewed on the ‘Black Carpet’ before the show started. Rob Zombie was honored with this years “Golden God” award while his guitarist John 5 won the Best Guitarist accolade.

Rob Zombie will be receiving the ‘Golden God Award’ at Revolver Magazine’s Golden Gods Awards on May 2nd at the Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. For those of you who won’t be able to make the event you will be able to tune into a LIVE stream. Rob Zombie has revealed the artwork for the forthcoming soundtrack to his movie The Lords of Salem. The score has been composted by Zombie guitarist John 5 and Griffin Bolce (producer who has worked with Zombie, Black Eyed Peas and Hollywood Undead). John 5 said of the score recently “The music was very challenging and sometimes there was no key signature or time signature for this music, which is all orchestral and acoustic with the exception of one death metal song. You had to be able to follow the story and create emotions for each scene with the music.” to see the full cover (more…)

Rob Zombie will this year, be inducted into the Revolver Golden God Hall of Fame. The award is given to one special honoree a year who embodies the spirit of hard rock and metal. Zombie, who will be joining previous recipients including Alice Cooper, Rob Halford and Dave Mustaine said: “What can I say? It is a complete honor to receive this award and have my name join the list of such legendary past winners as Alice Cooper and Gene Simmons. Pretty cool deal to be part of the Golden God club.”
