RZ on his new album “I really believe in this record and I really love it”

Rob Zombie Jason Davies

Rob Zombie speaks to Yahoo Music about his new album The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. He tells them why he waited a year to release the album, even though it was all finished, being a product of the 70’s, whether being a film director gives him a different perspective when looking at his music, and what he really thinks when people compare his music to “B-horror groove metal or even schlock-metal“.

[Watch] RZ speaks to Loudwire: “the ‘70s was a really bizarre time”

Earlier in May, Loudwire posted the first part of a video interview with Rob Zombie. In this follow up video, he explains how he came up with the lyrics for The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, and the often overlooked influence of Americana on his music.

Rob also reveals that although he had to fight with the censors for a rating for his latest movie ’31’ (due out in September), it was The Devil’s Rejects with which securing an R rating was the most difficult. “You’re editing content for adults. One adult is telling another adult, ‘I think that’s a little too much for you. We’re gonna have to tone it down.’

[Watch] 93X Pablo Interviews Rob Zombie at Northern Invasion

At the recent Northern Invasion festival Rob Zombie spoke to 93X Pablo about movies, music and Japanese death metal band, Babymetal. Rob recently posted on his Facebook a picture of him and the girls  which divided opinion amongst some of his fans, and saw Rob defend Babymetal against criticism. He expounds on his appreciation of the band with 93X Pablo: “I saw them live for the first time the other day, and I just loved it. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. Leave it to the Japanese to find a way to make fucking death metal cute. But it was awesome. And the crowd was going fucking apeshit.”
