Rob Zombie to receive the Sitges Film Festival’s Grand Honorary Award

From Sitges Film Festival: Film director and musician Rob Zombie will be receiving the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival’s Grand Honorary Award on Saturday 21 June. The Festival is making the most of Rob Zombie’s visit to Barcelona for the concert he’ll be offering the next day, to give him the award and put together this event in recognition of his career.

The award-giving event will take place during the screening organized by the Festival at the Aribau Multiplex, Saturday 21 June at 20:00. During the event, the Festival Director, Àngel Sala, will be presenting the Grand Honorary Award to Rob Zombie, who will be attending with his wife, actress Sheri Moon Zombie. Immediately afterwards will be the screening of The Devils Rejects, followed by a Q&A with Zombie and his wife. The Devils Rejects is the sequel to House of 1.000 Corpses (2003) and tells the intense and delirious story of murders and vengeance in Texas. The film was screened at Sitges 2005. Rob Zombie’s latest movie, The Lords of Salem, was also screened at the Festival, in 2012. In addition, the aforementioned House of 1,000 Corpses (2003), Halloween(2007) and The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (2009) were also screened here previously.

Create your own horror short for the Zombie Horror Picture Show challenge

Rob Zombie’s first concert film, The Zombie Horror Picture Show, released May 19 by Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/UMe, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Music DVD chart and has retained the chart’s top spot for its second week of release.  Zombie also recently teased out his next feature film project called ‘31.’ To celebrate, Zombie has teamed with ZUUS Media (“ZUUS”) and CraveOnline for a horror filmmaking contest.  Fans of Rob Zombie’s music and films are invited to create three-minute short horror films for the chance to have their entry selected to premiere across ZUUS, CraveOnline and RobZombie.com. Zombie adds September tour dates to diary

Yes that’s right, your eyes are not deceiving you, Rob Zombie is announcing a whole string of dates to his tour diary, for the month of September. This will include stop off’s in California, Idaho, Oregan, Oklahoma, Michigan and Texas.

Rob Zombie to headline opening night at Great American Nightmare 2014

After a successful inaugural opening year in 2013, for Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare attraction, he is doing it all over again, this time in Phoenix, AZ from September 19 to November 1st. Bringing the nightmare to more audiences across the USA, the main attraction being in Arizone, while on select nights, the WestWorld of Scottsdale will play host.

The first year was such a blast. I am thrilled to be able to take the Great American Nightmare to a new city this year,” said Zombie. “My only goal is to make it even sicker than last year.”

The three haunted house experiences for this year will include, ‘The Lords of Salem in Total Black Out,’ ‘Captain Spaulding’s Clown School in 3D’ and ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ .

Tickets are on sale from Friday 13th June at 10AM PT at the Great American Nightmare website.

Zombie announced for Pain In The Grass 2014

And the tour schedule gets bigger, as Rob Zombie is added to KISW Rock 99.9 FM‘s ‘Pain In The Grass 2014‘ festival, on September 12 at the White River Ampitheatre in Auburn WA.

Zombie will be appearing on the main stage, and other acts on the bill include Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Escape The Fate and BuckCherry.
