Started by The Professor LUKE425 1 year ago

i dont know about anybody else but i don't know how anybody can listen to Ron Paul and not agree with every word the man says. why is he not receiving that many votes in this primary......is it because he doesn't have the money like the the others?????? Im not that into politics but i try to pay enough attention to make a informative decision. does anybody agree with me or is there something about Ron that i don't know that would make him a bad president. as far as i know...... Don't know a lot about US politics, but a couple of our Yankee friends are Ron Paul supporters. The Republican candidates scare the hell out of me, and Obama doesn't impress me much either.

This year's GOP elections are a farce. Ron Paul is technically a Republican, but he's a libertarian at heart. Every debate that Ron Paul has participated in has been overtaken by Santorum, Romney, and Gingrich. And the news channels, not just Fox (which has been known for going so far as to ban or censor certain Paul video clips), have paid very little attention to Ron Paul. So, the one man not afraid to do what is right in my country has almost no chance of winning the election. Even if he did win the Republican primaries, President Obama's approval rating is at 50%. I have no doubt that President Obama will win the 2012 race. Which, based on Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Mitt Romney, is a better bet. Santorum has a massive religious agenda, Newt Gingrich was shitty at his previous job, Speaker Of The House, and as far as I've heard, the reason people would vote for Mitt Romney is because he "LOOKS PRESIDENTIAL". Like I said, this election is a farce.

I understand why people like Ron Paul and like anything political it is not so black and white but he concerns me a lot. I don't like his nin-intervention stance - not because I believe the US should be the world police but because he comes across as an isolationist. His views on Supreme Court decisions regarding seperation of church and state concern me too. He may have some leverage when it comes to the way court decisions are made and whether they infringe on religious rights however America is not a theocracy and neither should it be - despite some like Santorum's almost lunatic gusto to make it so. Take the birth control issue - once a church gets into the business of helathcare - that hospital is no longer and should never be a church. His pro-life stance concerns me to - some on the right believe Liberals are pro-abortion and champions of women aborting which could not be further from the truth. Most Liberal women I know want women to have a choice - for example I do not believe abortion should be used as another form of contraception but I do believe if a woman is raped, or a woman's contraception has failed and she becomes pegnant is not able to support the child - it is her choice. It also concerns me when someone actively says they are against the Civil Rights Act. I know some feel the newsletters issue should not be an issue but for it is. If he had a hand in writing them then how can he be representative of the people if he has views which were in those newsletters? If he did not write them and merely signed off on them, why was he not better checking what others were writing in his name? And if he did sign off on them and not read them, why actively campaign on those newsletters. BTW this is not the first time the newsletters have come up during one of his Presidential attempts - they first arose in 1996. At that time he did not deny them but defended them. However the one thing I will agree on - there seems to be an active campaign to marginalize Ron Paul. The media have pretty much ignored him and as has been mentioned the momentum seems to be to support Rommney because he looks the most Presidential. That to me is unfair and is a flagrant attempt to control the way the voters think. I may not agree with him and hope people will be understanding of my views against him because believe me I do see why some will support him for his views on other elements however I do feel he should be given the same, fair coverage as all the other candidates.

I think when Ron Paul made the comment, that if he became President, he would legalize cocaine, meth, heroin and other hard drugs. I believe that turned everyone off, well except for the hard drug users, and they don't vote. How the world could you ever legalize any of that, when you can't even smoke a cig out on a public sidewalk?

They control the message! they frame what we see you have to read and research to make an informed decision and not many do! Thats the real problem. Sound bites and parts of sentances, you already know dont ask me I dont like any of them, and I believe whomever gets in is controlled by whoever is really running things. Its a sad time we live in.

The media sucks! It is no longer impartial or accurate, maybe it never was but it is so true manicmuse that they control the message. If they don't want you to know something, they can crush and hide it from the general public. I wonder if eventually our country will be in another civil war the way things are going ....... really really blows!

call me nuts, But its because the system doesnt want Ron Paul in Office.... hes a BIG truth spearker. About the drug statement, it was stated under lagalizing pot, and he went into this rant if you make things legal, not everyones going to go out and do hard drugs, I.G. meth, cocaine etc etc... I dont smoke pot, but I say legalize it. But over all, I know Emma has some concerns about Ron Paul, but hes alot better then what the media wants in office.... BUT they are all controlled by the bmore elite, the ones who are in power, so I dont vote. I feel its fake, and gives people false hope.

Yea. The system definitely doesn't want a guy like Ron Paul in the office. But the people seem to like him. I was listening to some radio talk shows on YouTube and those guys say he's the right one to vote for. It was Steve Quayle with Tom Horn where I first heard this. Here's my playlist. It's between the 16th to the 22nd videos UFO's Aliens and the Question of Contact
