You guys are going to love this one, It's not only a Walking dead Tribute, but all zombies tribute. It actually has easter eggs showing Plants Vs Zombies + Shuan of the Dead, tell me what you thought:
Huge fan of The Walking Dead. It comes back on in the UK this friday. Also my husband started me off with the graphic novels over Christmas - I get three a month now of the volumes to read - very different in many ways, but really good too - it's worth reading them if you haven't already to see the way the character development is different in some ways
Well, Shane's already killed a fellow human...the first is the hardest, they say it gets easier after that. I'm sure Shane's going to be making trouble for Rick in future episodes, perhaps providing his friend with a moral dilemma that he won't enjoy resolving.
Shane is dangerous - although as anyone knows from the graphic novels, its a far departure from the Shane in the books. Rick is more like Shane in the books.
I do think he is on his way to a second murder, but I liked that Rick put him down when it came to his wife and proclaimed he actually knew about the infedelity. It kinda cut him down a little but yeah he's a ticking time bomb.
That last episode before the break was heartbreaking though when all the dead walked out of the barn and the little girl was one of them (expected her to be though). And Rick showed why he is leader by killing her - something Shane couldn't do - he's good at shouting and acting like the mean macho man, but when it comes to important decisions he just isn't cut out for it.
One of my favorite shows on TV right now! It's absolutely brilliant! Gives you your horror fix, while telling an engaging, truly human narrative at the same time. I really need to start reading the graphic novels!
Yah I asked my husband.. do you think Carl can see them.. the last time they showed him he was on the roof with the binoculaurs and sure as shit..
And how did the certain dynamic turn??? No bites!! Was it the knife that was used on other walkers? Thoughts? This is the 2nd time that "no bites" has been a reason for turning. Gonna get real interesting..
In the graphic novels, there is a point when they realise it's nots just bites. They realise it's just dead coming alive, so something maybe airborne - which of course is a direct homage to George Romeros movies.
Dales death was so sad, but Shane's - oh come on now, who cheered? I'm glad they kept Shane as long as they did because he was killed in the graphic novels a lot opearlier, but this is getting ready I believe for the meeting of another group - the ones the boy Randall came from. And if they are like the group in the graphic novels, this is going to get real bloody for Ricks lot - cant believe it's the last episode of the season next week
I love the show! By far exceeding my expectations. Probably my favorite show on tv besides Eastbound and Down and Life's Too Short.
The comics are great too. Just a great franchise all around.
It was sad losing Dale. i got teary eyed lol. I tend to agree that you have to change your life around to fit the new world that you are involved in but I can appreciate the fact that Dale tried to keep what little humanity was left from the old world. I as surprised Shane lasted as long as he did too. I expected him to get killed at the area where they dropped off Randall the first time. Great show, very compelling, but I can't believe this season is over Season 3 better get here quick!
Seriously, how much did the season finale kick ass! Love the fact that one of the great characters from the graphic novels made her debut - the samurai wielding Michonne. And frustrated that Laurie turn coated on Rick - said it all where her allegiance lies. Loved the prison on the horizon. The whole thing was brilliant - roll onthe Fall, never have I wished summer away so much before its even started!
The second half of this season was great. The show got so much better after Darabont was fired (or left, depending on the story you read).
And I'm really interested to see David Morrissey as the Governor. I've only seen him in that one Doctor Who Christmas Special.
At least Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are coming back to hold me over, haha.
Laurie thing pissed me off a bit to, lets face it Shane was out of his mind but she did not help the matter with that talk she had with him, i think it was part of the reason he was even gonna kill Rick, i'm really hoping they kill her now she really got to me when she acted like that with Rick, as for the girl with the samurai sword you must know that the 2 zombies with her are her x boyfriends, cant wait to see more of her next season too, and the warden in the jail should be in next season to and he is going to be off his rocker lol.
Loved this show, I havent read the comics, so this is a new world for me.... My wife and I watched it from the get go, and we were both blown away from the story and how well the FX were.... heres to the up coming season 3
@Moon - I think I'm going to have to stay away from the thread - we start about five days after the US here in the UK with the new season - but saying that I am really excited about this. Michonne, The Governor of Woodbury - this looks like a great season and if it pans out anything akin to the graphic novels at this particular point, I think it may be the best yet.
OH she is def bad ass anyone who can actually tame a zombie lol is a hero in my book. i love how the season ended with her walking up with the zombies on the leashes and then the camera pans out and u c the prison? or whatever that big building was obviously new characters will b introduced cuz ppl r prob in there.
i was glad rick killed that jail dude cuz he was enjoying killin ppl im glad hershal pulled through i just dont know how hes gonna b quick to get away that part im dreading... they need to figure a way to get the cars into the yard for a fast getaway cuz what if they zombies start getting smart and climb fences. yikes
right i cant friggen believe t dog and lori i feel so damn bad for rick i have no idea how they r gonna feed the baby so im guessing they r gonna venture out and find the neighborhood of ppl which is gonna cause mad drama because of meryl and ricks alliance to his brother. yikes cant wait till next week!!!
Yeah, I was thinking that too..How are they going to find milk or formula for the baby? There would be stores during the zombie apocolypse, but there is always the chance that everything you need is already looted out of them.
I know i REALLY REALLY hope darryll sees him for what he is and not who he is. Daryll has showed such a soft but masculine side id hate to have meryll fuck that up i think he might even start lovin on carol now that hes felt how much he missed her when he thought she was dead.
i litterally got up off my seat when that dude got shot in the head when carol was tlaking to him!! rrrrr im glad the baby and carl didnt get hurt and im glad darylls back but concerned meryl is with him.
Dude cool group pic! Lucky you I have mixed emotions about the finale... I won't say any spoilers but I just wish there was more that happend. I need to stop comparing it to the comics and impatient on what is going to happen and when. Also, I have grown to fucking hate Carl haha. There I said it... done.
“I’m here to kick ass and chew gum, and I’m all out of bubblegum.”
I was a bit disappointed w/ the finale.after the weeks of building up the inevitable showdown between the people of Woodbury and the Prison, still,it was an entertaining episode and I'll be watching next season.
