Rob Zombie's Halloween's were the best. I even think they were far superior to the original. I never understood all the hate people give his Halloween 2. It's smart of Rob not to come back for 3, however. The story is over. They are all dead. I have no idea what kind of cheesy plot will surely be Halloween 3. There is no way to continue on Rob Zombie's version. He ended it. I think this series should finally be put to rest. If they have to do another one, the only thing to do now is just remake it again or do what John Carpentar had envisioned from the get go....make a new Halloween movie each year with a completely different story. No Michael Myers. Just a new fun Halloween themed movie. That would have been cool. Halloween 3 was a cool film. But no one likes original artistic idea's apparenlty. Thats why they hated Halloween 3 back in the day, and they hated Rob's take on 2; because it was unique, differnet, and outside their comfort zone.
Fans complain about the constant remakes, but really, whenever someone does go out and do something really new and different...it's too unfamiliar and is hated. Then it takes years to gain an appreciation.
One thing I think is stupid about the people who complain about Rob Zombie's Halloween movies is what they say about the swearing..Other directors have a lot of swearing in their films and sometimes tv shows too. Just now, my roommate was watching Ghosts of Mars, and I heard the word "fuck" come up a few times in less than a minute..Who directed that movie? John Carpenter. Most Stephen King books and movies have tons of swearing too. So, why is that ok, but it is not ok for Zombie to have swearing in his films? What the fuck?
I never really notice the language in Zombie's films not that I curse at all myself. People just like to get their panties in a wad about stuff.I just really enjoy his vision of the franchise. I love all the Halloween movies and even Halloween 3 because it was original and still creepy imo. I understand Rob doesn't want to do another his vision is complete. I like the idea that they had back in the 80s to just do something different for the sequels and Micheal Myers was the boogey man in 1 and 2 and that ran it's course so 3 was something new. But people are hard to please and wanted to see Myers return.
