Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson will be performing KUPD’s first annual Desert Uprising show on September 28 (now Ginger knows how he will be spending his birthday). The two day event is the first show to be announced for a late 2012 Rob Zombie tour and more dates will be announced next Friday.
Tickets for Desert Uprising are available to purchase on July 13. Click to read more of the story below and you can see a full line up for the two day fest and a break down of prices for the shows.
Check out the fantastic shots from photographer David Turcotte of The Full Frame, who chronicled the show on May 11 at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
You can see the full portfolio of this shoot at http://thefullframe.org/2012/05/15/rob-zombie/
As David notes about the shoot and the show:
Unlike the simple and straight forward stage of openers Megadeth, Rob Zombie pulled all the stops with elaborate pyrotechnics, giant risers and backdrops. Between the skeleton mic stands, projected visuals and motorized monsters on stage, there wasn’t a dull moment in trying to capture the action provided by Rob Zombie and Co. Even the detail of Rob Zombie’s costume was something of a spectacle if you look closely enough.
Lighting was as expected…wild! There was flames, hard washes of green and red, and lots of fog.
With just a few weeks to go until Rob Zombie hits the stage with John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish at 2012′s Rock on the Range, performance times have now been revealed, so you can know exactly what time you need to be front and center at the stage performance of the night!
Rob Zombie will be on the Monster Main Stage on Sunday May 20 at 9:45 pm as the headlining act that night.

From Rob Zombie’s Facebook page:
The greatest show on earth returns in 2012. Shows to be announced soon!
“With their penchant for theatricality, a Rob Zombie set might be like a KISS concert held in a graveyard. In spite of the all-star band that surrounds him, tonight at Soundwave Rob Zombie’s front man and namesake is like Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons; he alone is the spectacle. Playing a set that satiates fans of old, White Zombie cuts More Human Than Human and Thunder Kiss ’65 seem like a gracious offering to fans, Zombie and his cohorts toe the line between style and substance, before finishing strong with Dragula.” — RAVE MAGAZINE
