A great, and very detailed interview and feature article from Grantland.com, which focuses on director Rob Zombie, and beyond the horror that he is most known for. The article comes in light of the news that Zombie is to direct a movie about his comic idol Groucho Marx, based on the book by Steve Stoliar entitled “Raised Eyebrows”.
This is a really interesting and thoroughly in-depth look at Zombie’s career.

A new documentary called “Hired Gun” is currently in post production. “Hired Gun is a compelling film about a unique fraternity of musicians that possess uncommon musical ability, but who made a conscious decision to make a living playing music in relative obscurity. Occasionally, one of them makes the big time and becomes a star in their own right.”
For the documentary, Rob Zombie is interviewed with friend and right hand man John 5 (still from interview above).

Rob Zombie has finally wrapped up his latest studio album, the as yet untitled follow-up to 2013’s Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor. The studio has been mixed by Zombie and Zeuss, and Rob is very pleased with the way the new album sounds. Says Zombie; “The new studio album is done! The last mixes were put to bed and the studio is back in storage. Can’t give you much info yet… but I can easily say this is my favorite album yet… no joke. Yeah I know every fucking asshole says that. But it is seriously our heaviest most fuck up musical monster to date. One song entitled “Well, Everybody’s Fucking In a UFO” is sure to be an instant Zombie classic! Not since Hellbilly Deluxe have I spent this long putting an album together. It was worth it. Our man Zeuss did and awesome job producing and has helped us construct the perfect next step after Venomous Rat.”
Keep locked onto robzombie.com for more details.”

Rob Zombie’s next movie venture ’31’ has been highlighted as one of the most anticipated horror movies of 2015.
Beyond premise, there’s little known about Rob Zombie’s latest (crowdfunded!) screen endeavor. But that’s okay, because as premises go, this one is guaranteed to turn heads. Five people are forced to compete in a game (called 31), where the object is “kill or be killed.” They’re pitted against a gang of vile clowns known as “the heads” and given twelve hours to survive in a man-made abattoir.
Boom. That’s it. The film currently lacks distribution, and the cast hasn’t been revealed (though IMDB lists both Sherri Moon Zombie and Bari Suzuki as principals). But Zombie has promised that 31 is his most brutal film yet, and with a synopsis that insane, horror fans are going to find a way to see this, regardless.
