Comedian Tom Papa’s latest show Freaked Out, aired this past Friday in the US. Papa – who Zombie fans will remember as the voice of El Superbeasto – called upon his friend to direct the latest comedy special. In this interview with Splitsider, Tom talks about how he and Rob met, how they came to work together and the style that Rob Zombie brings artistically to a Tom Papa show.

Yes it’s true. Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 let the cat out of the bag following an interview with AbsolutePunk.net. In the interview he explained that Rob Zombie was putting together his first ever live DVD; “This is big news. I haven’t talked about this. 30 years, Rob Zombie, White Zombie – never done a live DVD. We’re doing one this year. The show’s so big. It can’t get much bigger, so I’m like, “We better record this!”

Thats right folks, Rob Zombie’s latest movie The Lords of Salem is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com for Blu-Ray and DVD. The film, starring Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Patricia Quinn and Dee Wallace, centers on DJ Heidi Hawthorne who recieves a strange record from a group called ‘The Lords’ – a record set to tear the town of Salem apart. SXSW, where The Lords of Salem got it’s US premiere, was a couple of months ago but this little interview has only just surfaced in the past couple of days. Just over a month ago (April 19) The Lords of Salem, the latest movie from director/musician Rob Zombie, was released. And a few days before that, the soundtrack was released. It features a score by Rob’s right hand axe man John 5, and producer Griffin Boice, as well as the stellar selection of hand-picked tracks from artists such as The Velvet Underground, Rush and Rick James. She plays with particular zeal, the role of Margaret Morgan, whom armed with a record hopes to wreck revenge on the town of Salem for the injustices done to her and her coven years before.
