Roscoe – actor Jeff Daniel Phillips – one of the stars of Rob Zombie’s latest movie 31, and also a Zombie film veteran having also starred in The Lords of Salem and Halloween II, will be appearing this coming weekend (9-11 September) at Horrorhound at the Indianapolis Marriot East.
They try, and they fail miserably. Rob Zombie’s Halloween remains the top grossing movie opening for the Labor Day weekend box-office. $30.5 million can not be beaten – so the film remains the top-grossing since 2007!
So that’s now NINE YEARS seeing off some great contenders such as Morgan, Don’t Breathe, Lawless, The Possession, Machete and some teeny bopper band put out a movie too… but we guess they got scaaaaaareeeeeed.
Anyway thanks again to everyone who helped make Halloween a success.
Good luck to whoever wants to try next year………

Rob Zombie’s much anticipated release ‘31‘ has now got a release date. Stick September 16 in your diaries folks.
After a small issue with previous distributors Alchemy, the film has also secured Saban Films to help distribute the movie for it’s theatrical release.
“After meeting with Saban, it was obvious that this was the perfect home for ’31,’” said Rob Zombie. “They have a true understanding of the genre and how to handle it. I am very excited to work with them.”
From Rob Zombie:
I will try to answer your questions here. 31 has moved to a different film distributor. This may sound like an easy situation but it is slow and involves lawyers and tons of paper work so that is the reason for the hold up. It is all good news, but it has set us back a few months. The new company is working on a new trailer and one sheet which I will get out to you all asap.
I know everyone loves to think no news is bad news, but it is not. The movie business moves like a fucking snail.
In an interview with What to Watch, Rob Zombie and Sheri Moon Zombie discuss 31. In this video, Rob talks about some of the influences behind the movie, how the characters are essentially him and the “MPAA nightmare‘ and why the cuts he has made to get an R-Rating will not hurt 31 at all.

Rob Zombie is a busy man. He already has one movie – 31 – ready for release. He is also releasing a brand new solo studio album this year. And add to that TWO tours – one with Disturbed and the other with Korn.
Not one to sit back, Rob is also slated to direct a bio-pic about hero Groucho Marx entitled Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho’s House based on the book by Steve Stoliar.
In this interview with VICE, Rob talks about why he is the perfect choice to direct the movie, his love of the Marx Brothers, and the similarities between heavy metal and horror.
