On July 22, 2005, Rob Zombie unleashed the Firefly Family again on the cinema audience, with The Devils Rejects. The sequel to his debut movie House of 1000 Corpses saw Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis (Bill Moseley) and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), on the run from Sheriff Wydell (William Forsyth), a man obsessed with bringing the blood shedding family to justice (in one way or the other) for the death of his brother.
So today, July 22, 2015, is officially The Devils Rejects day, to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the film (already??!!).

It is with sadness we hear of the passing of another friend – actor Irwin Keyes. Rob Zombie reflects on the news “I have just heard the terrible news that our friend Irwin Keyes has passed away. Irwin was a cool guy and a big part of the House of 1000 Corpses family. He will be missed by us all.”
Keyes made his screen debut in the 1979 cult classic “The Warriors” but also worked with Woody Allen, the Coen Brothers and of course with Rob Zombie as Ravelli in House of 1000 Corpses. Our thoughts are with his wife Tracey Fontaine and his family.
Steve Stoliar explains why he approves of Rob Zombie to direct his Groucho Marx story “Raised Eyebrows”
Steve Stoliar, friend, and former personal assistant to the legendary comic genius Groucho Marx, writes a guest column for the Hollywood Reporter in which he explains why there is “nothing scary” about the prospect of Rob Zombie directing the film adaptation of his book “Raised Eyebrows”.
“Nothing Rob has said or done since has given me second thoughts about having placed the care and feeding of my story in his hands. As we’ve gotten to know each other, I’ve come to realize what kindred spirits we are — despite outward appearances — not just in terms of this project, but in other areas, including a shared love for classic rock and lesser Bela Lugosi films.”
It’s a really interesting read. Read the column in full here: hollywoodreporter.com/news/how-horror-meister-rob-zombie

Yet another shot from 31 featuring Father Murder (Malcolm McDowell) and Sister Serpent (Jane Carr) during a rather calm moment in their secret 31 hideaway.
The naughty bits have been censored for your protection, ha ha!
’31’ is currently in post-production and includes stars such as Malcolm McDowell and Jeff Daniel Phillips.
Rob Zombie will be moving away from horror to direct a movie about his favourite movie star, Groucho Marx. The film, based on Steve Stoliar’s memoir Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho’s House, tells the bizarre story of “most iconic comedians of our time” (producer Miranda Bailey) and Stoliar’s own experiences with Groucho in his last years.
Zombie told Deadline: “I have been a huge Groucho Marx fan ever since I was a child and have read countless book on the comic legend, but after reading the book Raised Eyebrows, a totally new perspective on Groucho’s life emerged,” says Zombie. “I immediately saw this project as Groucho’s Sunset Boulevard and knew I had to bring it to the big screen. It is a sad, funny and very dark tale of a one of Hollywood’s greatest stars final years.”

Rob Zombie’s 31 is now in post-production. While Rob sets about editing, mixing etc, documentary director Josh Hasty of Paramount Scope, has been working on the behind the scenes footage, for a “making of 31″ film he is putting together. It will follow Zombie from pre to end of post production.
Says Hasty of the above shot; “Going through 500+ hours of footage (yes five hundred) on my Rob Zombie 31 doc. Here’s a screen cap of RZ and his DP, David Daniels, planning out one of my favorite scenes in the film. A poetic nightmare!”

The film stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Richard Brake, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Lew Temple, Meg Foster, and Malcolm McDowell. The deal was sealed by Alchemy CEO Bill Lee, who has been on a tear since restructuring and re-branding Millennium Entertainment.

Alchemy’s mission is to connect exceptional storytellers with existing and new fans, and we look forward to doing so with Rob’s latest work.”
