Zombie teams with Bret Easton Ellis for Manson Murders movie

Rob Zombie Bret Easton Ellis

Rob Zombie is joining forces with American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, and Alcon Television, to develop a project with Fox about the infamous Manson Family murders.  Zombie, who has long held a fascination with the murders which included the killing of actress Sharon Tate, told Variety Magazine; “I have been obsessed with this insane story since I was a kid, so obviously I jumped at the chance to be involved in this incredible project. After speaking with Bret, I immediately realized that we shared the same vision for this epic madness.”

At present the production is seen as a limited series but is still in early development with Fox.

There have been rumors for YEARS of the making of a Manson movie with Bill Mosely as Manson and Sheri Moon Zombie as Sharon Tate. Maybe this will eventually become a reality now that Zombie is on board!

Dear Rob: this film project sounds much better one because I was and still am obsessed with the mayhem committed by the Manson family against the gorgeous Sharon Tate and the other people involved in that infamous massacre. Besides, the insane Charles Manson sill lives……
