Review: The Lords of Salem is Rob Zombie’s ‘most ambitious’ movie to date

‘Lords of Salem’ to headline SXSW’s Midnighter program

The Lords of Salem had its US Premiere at the SXSW Festival in Austin Texas last night (March 11).  The film is due for full release on April 19 2013, distributed by Anchor Bay Films.  In this latest review, Complex.com give a 7 out of 10 rating for what they call “his most ambitious and befuddling work yet—befuddling in positive ways comparable to the least comprehensible, yet no less enthralling and delightfully appalling, films from, say, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Dario Argento“. You had me at “This time, Rob Zombie, really isn’t fucking around.” As if this u
Is something new of him. And you sealed the deal with”total creative freedom” Cant wait to see what is called his “most ambitious film to date” been too long since the last one. Will be a little sad bc it’ll be the first Zombie film I’ve seen without him but I will just watch it for the both of us!
